Colossal Mistakes and Life Lessons

I got to thinking about the girl who tried to do her special hair do with gorilla glue.  I wonder who she thought would be impressed by her fancy hair do. She made a colossal mistake that was costly and painful to fix.  I wonder how many times we do things like that to impress someone else only to find that the attention one gets is so short lived and feeds our ego just enough that we are driven to need something bigger to 'top that'. I'm sure that girl has been given a huge life lesson from that experience.  I pray that I don't have to make as big and painful a mistake to learn what God has in store for me. I pray that God allows me to fall just enough to recognize how much I need Him. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for helping me.
